JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- We underpin great user experiences with simple, straightforward language rooted in research and user-centered design principles.
- We look beyond words to shape the product holistically, designing end-to-end user experiences from vision, to execution, to polish.
- We collaborate to tell the story of a product's value across audiences and use cases, helping align teams on a user-centric narrative.
- We play a key role in scaling product design, by folding key decisions and content patterns into Fitbit's design system.
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Technical Writing, UX, HCI, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience, including partnering with Eng, Product, UX and other cross-functional teams to build products.
- Proven ability to independently drive content projects forward with minimal guidance.
- Experience in user-focused product writing, including work in hardware, software, digital agencies, or other relevant settings.
- Experience working alongside other designers in tools like in Figma. Experience with localization and accessibility best practices.
- Familiarity with user experience research principles and practices and how to use data to provide informed user insights.
- A portfolio of UX-focused writing samples and style guidelines
