Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Planner to oversee and optimize our physical shipment processes, including both inbound and outbound logistics. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in using Transportation Management Systems for planning, executing, and ensuring compliance in goods movement. This role requires onsite presence in Mexico City, Mexico and offers a challenge to improve our logistics efficiency significantly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement effective shipment plans for both inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring timely and cost-efficient delivery.
- Utilize the Transportation Management System (TMS) to optimize routes, load plans, and ensure compliance with all transportation regulations.
- Oversee the preparation of all necessary shipping documentation, ensuring all goods are shipped in compliance with industry and legal standards.
- Actively manage and troubleshoot any issues arising from the physical movement of products, including delays or damages.
- Coordinate closely with hubs and spokes, as well as contract manufacturers (CMs), to ensure seamless movement of the company’s software and equipment.
Must-Have Skills:
- Proven experience in hands-on, physical outbound shipment planning.
- Proficiency in using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) for logistics planning and execution.
- Ability to multitask and quickly adapt to new processes or changes in the shipping environment.
Industry Experience:
Experience in the logistics and supply chain industry, specifically with knowledge in shipping technical or software products, is highly preferred.
