Job Summary:
We are seeking a Contingent Technical Writer for a 1-year contract, focused on creating instructions for use (IFU) for robotic-assisted medical devices and instruments. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop, write, and edit technical documentation using a variety of tools including Adobe FrameMaker and XML based on DITA. The ideal candidate must have experience in a regulated industry, specifically medical devices, and possess a strong ability to manage documentation in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with SMEs to research and develop content for medical device IFUs.
- Plan, write, and edit medical device systems, instruments, and software documentation using Adobe FrameMaker/XML and DITA.
- Follow Good Documentation Practices and regulatory change control guidelines.
- Work with Regulatory experts to manage submission deadlines and requirements.
- Conduct technical documentation validation, verification, and control steps including Change Orders.
Must-Have Skills:
- Experience with DITA and Oxygen XML
- Knowledge of medical device regulations and documentation practices
- Strong verbal communication and ability to lead content review meetings
- Experience in a medical device or other regulated industry is required.
