Pay Range:$80 - $83 Per Hour

JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for a Technical Writer with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of content management systems to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating comprehensive, accessible documentation for both internal and external users of The Walt Disney Company's Direct-to-Consumer content and media platform, enhancing the user experience for our streaming services including Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN. Collaboration with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers will be fundamental to developing reader-friendly manuals tailored to assist users in navigating and maximizing the functionality of the Content Portal.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Author, update, and maintain help center documentation for the platform's CMS.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to ensure documentation accuracy and usability.
  • Create clear, engaging guides for both internal operators and external business users.
  • Adapt documentation to reflect updates and changes within the platform.
  • Ensure all help materials are accessible and straightforward for all user levels..
Must have Skills
  • Strong understanding of content management systems.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Tech.
  • Writing, ideally in Digital Streaming or video file technical experience. 
  • Customer support experience is relevant.
  • The technical writer will be responsible for authoring, updating, and maintaining comprehensive the content portal. 
Industry Experience Required:
Experience within the media, entertainment, or Direct-to-Consumer streaming service domain is highly beneficial.
