JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with cable vendors to install, inspect and troubleshoot cabling.
- Installation and maintenance of copper and fiber cable infrastructure.
- Install, test and troubleshoot fiber optic and copper cabling, including patch panels and patch cords.
- Ensure that the Data Center and vendor installations comply with all installation practices.
- Report current status via ticketing system, status reports, email and slack.
- Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.
- Maintain accurate records and document problems and processes to successfully draft and execute changes within data centers.
- Exhibit quality workmanship on all work and maintain site cleanliness.
- Up to 50% travel within geographical work area may be required; some travel outside traditional work area may be requested.
