Pay Range: $85.00 - $95.00 Per Hour

Job Summary:

Our client seeks a seasoned Functional Safety Engineer to lead ISO 26262 and SOTIF compliance for automotive systems. You will be responsible for developing safety concepts, requirements, and collaborating across teams to ensure robust safety engineering practices. This role requires extensive experience in automotive functional safety at the OEM or Tier 1 level, with a focus on delivering high-quality safety work products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage functional safety system requirements, including HARA and safety concepts, per ISO 26262.
  • Review and approve key functional safety documentation, such as FSR, TSR, and validation tests.
  • Define and confirm vehicle architecture from a functional safety perspective.
  • Lead the development of SOTIF requirements for autonomous driving systems.
  • Oversee functional safety processes, tools, and program readiness metrics.

Must Have Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge and practical application of ISO 26262 standards.
  • Experience in SOTIF analysis and development of associated work products.
  • Proven ability to manage functional safety analyses and articulate technical issues to diverse stakeholders.

Domain/Industry Experience:
Automotive (OEM or Tier 1)
