Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Java Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. This role involves designing and developing high-performance software applications, engaging in hands-on coding, and playing a technical leadership role that includes mentoring junior engineers and tackling difficult programming and design problems. The successful candidate will work collaboratively across teams to deliver exceptional results and contribute to the project's architecture and design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather functional requirements, develop technical specifications, project, and test planning.
  • Design and develop web and software applications, along with prototypes or proofs of concepts (POCs).
  • Act as a technical leader, mentor junior engineers, and apply expertise to solve challenging programming and design issues.
  • Address defects/bugs during various testing phases and post-release.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to advance projects and contribute to the design and architecture.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
  • Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including unit testing and Test Driven Development (TDD).
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences.

Industry Experience:

  • Experience in developing scalable back-end services for consumer-facing applications is preferred. A background in cloud/SaaS solutions and big data will be advantageous.

Additional Notes:

  • Hybrid onsite required Tuesday and Thursday (may extend to Tuesday to Thursday in the future).
