Pay Range: $44.13 - $48.86 per hour 

Job Summary:
Senior Editor specialized in financial news, requiring at least 5 years of experience in a media organization's editorial function. The role involves running the finance section of the client's website in the afternoons/evenings (ET), curating and editing stories to ensure high engagement and compelling content delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, enthusiasm for financial news, and a proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure proper editorial handoffs and run finance in afternoons/evenings (ET).
  • Monitor news flow, curating and editing stories to reflect the best of  Finance.
  • Edit and write stories as needed, ensuring timely and accurate news delivery.
  • Drive engagement through compelling storytelling and content optimization.
  • Support editorial aspects like data analysis, distribution strategies, and quality control.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Proven expertise in copy-editing and mastery over grammar and style.
  • Strong SEO skills with an emphasis on content optimization for visibility and engagement.
  • Solid news judgment and multitasking abilities, capable of handling multiple priorities efficiently.

Industry Experience Required:
Prior experience in financial news or a related media organization is essential.
