Pay Range: $65-$70 per hour on W2

Job Summary:
Our environment consists of ~14,000 employees with ~500 active Splunk users, ingesting ~3 TB/day from ~100 diverse sources. Data comes from on-prem applications, appliances, and network devices, as well as SaaS platforms, private cloud (Kubernetes), Azure, and AWS. The role is critical in ensuring the stability, scalability, and usability of our Splunk Enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and harden a multi-site Splunk Enterprise environment (indexer clustering, SHC, deployer/deployment server, RBAC, app lifecycle).

  • Perform upgrades, patching, daily/weekly health checks, license management, and disaster recovery testing.

  • Lead and execute data onboarding projects across on-prem, SaaS, cloud, and Kubernetes with a focus on auditability and compliance.

  • Monitor and tune ingestion, search performance, and storage (RF/SF validation, bucket health, NFS tuning, queue depths).

  • Enable and support users by creating/optimizing SPL searches, dashboards, and alerts, while advising engineers, SREs, and SecOps teams on best practices.


Must-Have Skills:

3–5+ years administering Splunk Enterprise at multi-TB/day scale.

  • Strong SPL and search optimization experience.

  • Proven expertise in onboarding and parsing diverse data sources.

  • Linux administration, Bash/Python scripting, and networking fundamentals.

  • Experience managing NFS-backed Splunk storage environments.


    • Industry Experience:
    Splunk Architect Certification, experience with ES, ITSI, MLTK, SOAR, or ML/data-science partnerships.
