Pay Range: $50 - $55 per hour on W2

Job Summary:
Seeking a dynamic Software Engineer to join our Automation, Equipment, and Test (AET) Team, focusing on streamlining the manufacturing process of surgical robotic instruments and accessories. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing software that ensures the kinematic performance and safety of new surgical instruments, requiring collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. The role includes architecting system controls, enhancing software infrastructure for data utilization, and ensuring the integrity of products in volume production with a commitment to patient safety.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect and develop software systems for machine control to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain and build software infrastructures for effective data value extraction.
  • Understand and develop controls for new product operations, ensuring volume production integrity.
  • Design, document, and qualify manufacturing software for new instruments and accessories.
  • Independently overcome technical roadblocks and support production software with minimal guidance.
Must Have Skills:
  • Strong programming skills and experience in software development.
  • Profound understanding of OOA/OOD/OOP and Design Patterns.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented team player attitude.
Preferred Domain Experience:
  • Experience in developing robotic or electromechanical systems, including control systems.
  • Background in medical device manufacturing or in a regulated engineering environment.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and methodologies such as Six Sigma.
