Contract Type:  W2
Duration:  6+ Months
Location: San Jose, CA (Hybrid)
Pay Range: $40-$43 per hour on W2

Job Summary:
This role focuses on enhancing internal processes within a core commerce platform through technical solutions and AI-driven prototypes. The engineer will blend approximately 60% technical work with 40% operational support, understanding code, databases, APIs, and cloud, while also developing proofs of concept. Responsibilities include automating workflows, integrating systems, and collaborating with product and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Automate operational workflows using AI solutions.
  • Develop and present AI prototypes and Proofs of Concept.
  • Integrate APIs and webhooks to connect systems.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for data analysis.
  • Understand and support existing Java codebase.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Strong Engineering and Operations background.
  • Hands-on experience with AI tools and prompt engineering.
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding Java code.

Experience in e-commerce or commerce platforms is preferred, with a strong advantage for candidates who have experience in AI prototyping within such environments.
