JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Test applications on different browsers and mobile devices to ensure functionality and compliance.
- Capture application traffic through firewalls to analyze and monitor data flow.
- Utilize Wireshark for detailed analysis of captured traffic, identifying unique patterns.
- Develop and write signatures using identified patterns to help in the identification of app traffic on the firewall.
- Conduct thorough unit testing on the signatures to ensure accurate application identification and performance.
- Proficiency in Wireshark for traffic analysis.
- Understanding of Layer 7 protocols, specifically HTTP analysis.
- Strong foundation in network security principles and practices.
