Location: San Jose, CA (onsite)
Pay Range: $82 - 85 Per hour on W2

Summary:
As a pivotal part of Client's Service Provider Mechanical and Thermal team, the Senior Mechanical Engineer is tasked with leading the design efforts of our revolutionary Client's 8000 series routers. This role not only demands a proven track record in mechanical design, specifically with telecom systems, but also a dynamic ability to innovate and drive project success within a collaborative team environment. Leveraging Client's Silicon One ASIC, the incumbent will contribute to the creation of industry-transforming devices designed for the 5G era and AI networks, ensuring adaptability, high performance, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and innovative solutions in mechanical testing at both part and system levels.
  • Lead and mentor engineering teams, offering technical guidance on complex projects and issues.
  • Architect and deliver mechanical system designs that meet exact product specifications.
  • Demonstrate creativity in defining product and project architecture.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively across teams to accomplish project objectives.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Proficiency in 3D MCAD tools (Creo/Siemens NX).
  • Extensive experience with sheet metal enclosure design.
  • Demonstrated mastery in GD&T and tolerance analysis.

Industry Experience Required:

  • Experience in the design of compute/networking products, particularly those designated for data centers, is highly preferred.
