Summary:
This role is with the Data Center Networking Group focusing on the development of the Nexus 9000 line, with responsibilities including mechanical architecture, leading mechanical design for various chassis and system thermal solutions, and ensuring design quality through reliability testing. The ideal candidate will drive innovation, provide outstanding support through technical collaborations, and take ownership of assigned projects with strong communication skills. Working within the Common Hardware Group, you will contribute to clients Switching, Routing, and Wireless products, delivering outstanding silicon, optics, and hardware platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead mechanical design for ToR chassis, Modular chassis, and system thermal solutions.
• Involvement in component selection and defining assembly processes with manufacturing teams.
• Conduct reliability testing, especially for MDVT and EMI, to ensure design quality.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement within mechanical system designs.
• Provide technical project collaboration support to external and internal teammates.

Must-Have Skills:

• Proficient in 3D mechanical design tools (e.g., Creo, NX).
• Experience in PCB board placement and working with mechanical material properties.
• Strong expertise in thermal solutions and mechanical system designs.

Industry Experience Required:

• Prior experience in networking hardware design, especially in data center or cloud infrastructure, is highly desirable.
