Job Summary: The Product Compliance Engineer will ensure products meet international regulatory requirements for hazardous areas and machinery safety, specifically under ATEX and IECEx directives. This role involves managing certifications, preparing technical documentation, and collaborating with design and manufacturing teams. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of relevant standards and experience working with notified bodies.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform product compliance activities for IECEx and ATEX Directives, including technical file preparation.
Interpret and apply IEC 60079 series standards for hazardous areas and ensure conformity with relevant directives.
Coordinate with notified bodies and certification agencies for technical reviews, audits, and approvals.
Conduct ignition hazard assessments and machinery risk evaluations.
Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to integrate compliance requirements.
Must-Have Skills:
Mandatory experience with ATEX Directive (CE marking).
Hands-on experience with IECEx certification schemes.
Proven ability to coordinate with notified/certification bodies.
Industry Experience:
Required experience in product compliance for hazardous area equipment, preferably within Oil and Gas industry equipment.
