Job Summary:
We are seeking a Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer to join our team in Hyderabad/Bengaluru, India (Remote), focusing on building, operating, and documenting data engineering solutions within Microsoft Fabric. The role involves producing high-quality technical documentation to enable scalability, governance, onboarding, and long-term maintainability of data platforms. The candidate should view documentation as a core aspect of data engineering deliverables, ensuring clear, accurate, and reusable technical information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain data engineering solutions using Microsoft Fabric Data Engineering experiences, including Lakehouses, notebooks, and pipelines.
- Implement data ingestion and transformation workflows, optimizing Fabric supported technologies.
- Support structured documentation for APIs and data access layers, ensuring clarity in data relationships and usage patterns.
- Produce detailed technical documentation covering lakehouse designs, data workflows, notebook logic, pipeline orchestration, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Document workspace structure, roles, permissions, and governance to ensure secure and compliant use of Fabric environments, while enabling onboarding and knowledge transfer through comprehensive guides and playbooks.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric Data Engineering, including Lakehouses, notebooks, and pipelines.
- Proven ability to create structured, clear technical documentation for data platforms and engineering systems.
- Strong written communication skills with an ability to translate complex data engineering concepts into understandable documentation.
- Prior experience in data engineering platforms, specifically Microsoft Fabric or similar lakehouse architectures, is preferred.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes within Microsoft Fabric, including Git integration and deployment workflows.
