Job Summary:
This role leads the accounting operations for international entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with local and US GAAP requirements. The position involves managing the month-end close process, coordinating audits, and driving process improvements through automation and AI-enabled tools. Collaboration with various internal departments and external advisors is crucial for success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee month-end close activities for assigned international entities.
- Act as the primary point of contact for accounting and compliance matters.
- Prepare and present balance sheet flux analysis to leadership.
- Coordinate statutory, tax, and external audit processes.
- Drive automation and optimization of accounting processes.
Must-Have Skills:
- 10+ years of finance and accounting reporting experience, including 3+ years of supervisory experience
- Experience supporting global accounting operations in an SSC or COE environment
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and experience partnering with statutory auditors
- Expertise in month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, audits, tax compliance coordination, and intercompany accounting
- Proficiency with enterprise systems, preferably Oracle Fusion, and strong financial analysis skills
- Bachelor's degree in commerce, Accounting, or Finance; master's degree preferred
- CPA, CA, or ACCA required
Industry Experience:
Experience supporting global accounting operations, ideally within a shared services or center of excellence environment, is strongly preferred.
