JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support Manufacturing in the review and analysis of manufacturing procedures, make recommendations for manufacturing methods, and support projects that will result in improved manufacturing costs and/or enhanced quality.
- Run routine problem solving investigations including root cause analysis tools such as fishbone diagrams and 5 Why analysis.
- Perform duties in the areas of time standards, line balancing, and process simulation. Work may also include cost estimation, Client planning, and productivity improvements.
- Cross functionally participate and execute on Industrial Engineering and continuous improvement projects for Manufacturing. May lead project of localized scope.
- Support the execution of improvements in manufacturing, utilizing data analysis and metrics to build a business case and then deliver on execution.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree required in Industrial Engineering or related discipline, and 2 years minimum applicable work experience.
- Proficient general software and data analysis skills required (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, R, etc.). Advanced analysis skillset (e.g. Tableau, VBA).
- Exposure to simulation software (e.g. Simul8, Arena, ProModel, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience in implementing Lean Manufacturing principles and techniques.
- Working knowledge of the fundamentals of statistics and Six Sigma applications.
