Pay Range: $60 - $65 per hour on W2


Job Summary:
We are seeking a Lead Technical Writer to produce high-quality documentation for medical device robotic systems and instruments. The ideal candidate will plan, write, and edit instructions for use (IFU) while ensuring compliance with FDA and regulatory guidelines. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to research, develop, validate, and verify technical content, as well as mentoring other writers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage IFU documentation for medical device systems and instruments using Adobe FrameMaker, InDesign, or XML.
  • Collaborate with SMEs across departments to research and validate documentation content.
  • Lead document creation from inception to completion, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate with designers to develop documentation imagery.
  • Participate in product development teams and mentor junior writers.
Must-Have Skills:
  • Strong experience with Adobe FrameMaker or InDesign.
  • Excellent communication and high-level technical writing skills.
  • Experience in documentation compliance within a regulated environment.
Industry Experience:
  • Experience in medical, biotechnology, hardware, or software documentation is required.
  • Familiarity with mechanical concepts and the localization process is preferred.
This position is ideal for an experienced technical writer with a background in regulated environments, looking to lead projects and contribute to the development of cutting-edge medical devices.
