JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Electrical Rework & Assembly Lab Technician who will be responsible for assisting in soldering, rework, assembly/disassembly of prototype parts and assemblies. The ideal candidate will be proficient in fine pitch soldering and have experience with electrical and mechanical assembly processes. A successful candidate will be working in an organized and highly functional lab space, have deep knowledge of lab equipment and prototype assembly techniques, and experience working on electro-mechanical devices. They need to be flexible, receptive to ideas from others, team oriented, and willing to work with technologists, engineers and others for continuing to push the technology envelope.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Prior lab technician experience
Ability to conduct course and fine pitch electrical assembly and reworks. PCB rework experience with 0402 package sizes required, 0201/01005 preferred.
Ability to comprehend and work off of basic circuit diagrams, mechanical schematics, hand sketches, technical drawings, etc.
Ability to conduct electrical rework and mechanical assembly based upon limited instruction.
Able to test/validate/debug completed reworks/assemblies using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, impedance analyzers, and similar.
Attentive to detail, with demonstrated ability to produce professional, high-quality prototypes.
Ability to promote a culture of proper lab safety and housekeeping practices.
Familiarity with digital productivity tools like spreadsheets, slide presentations, and workflow management
Strong troubleshooting and problem mitigation skills
Self-motivated and well organized to complete multiple projects quickly and efficiently.
Must be able to actively work in a lab environment, conduct repetitive assembly / rework tasks.
