As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the technical design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of our content metadata management systems, ensuring unrivaled content representation on streaming platforms. This role is for a visionary software engineer eager to revolutionize streaming video by delivering scalable, well-architected systems and robust solutions that reshape viewer experience.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and implement scalable systems for managing content metadata, including APIs for ingestion, retrieval, and manipulation.
- Lead the technical design and delivery of new features, ensuring code is maintainable and scalable.
- Collaborate on project phasing and delivery, working closely with managers, team leads, and Technical Project Managers.
- Proactively identify and implement improvements in systems and workflows.
- Adopt a user-centric approach to optimize our content management systems and data flows, ensuring robust testing practices.
- Proficiency in Java, Python, and use of relational databases (MySQL, Postgres).
- Solid understanding of AWS technologies (Lambda, Kinesis, SQS/SNS, DynamoDB, etc.).
- Experience with event or pub/sub-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis).
