Contract type - W2/C2C
Duration: 06 Months +
Location: New York, NY, San Francisco, California, Denver, CO
Pay Range: $65- $70 per hour C2C | $60/hr on W2

Job Summary:
Our client seeks a Senior Software Developer for a contract-to-hire position, preferentially located in NY, SF, or Denver to facilitate eventual office integration. The role focuses on enhancing user interfaces, optimizing backend systems including legacy code, and API development, in addition to extensive software development and problem-solving to improve customer experiences at scale. The ideal candidate will be pivotal in multi-quarter projects and exhibit strong collaboration skills across engineering teams and with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Make UI changes and add new UI elements
  • Run numerous detailed reports for ongoing analytics
  • Dive into legacy systems for code optimization and API development
  • Optimize SQL queries for better database performance
  • Mentor junior engineers and ensure the durability and reliability of code

Must-Have Skills:

  • Proficiency in Ruby on Rails
  • Strong fundamentals in HTML and CSS
  • Solid experience with SQL and database optimization

Industry Experience Required:

  • 8+ years in software development, preferably with experience in building scalable solutions and effective cross-functional communication. Familiarity with React and an interest in working within a test-driven development environment are also preferred.
