JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient professional to manage freight vendor invoice processing for both inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accurate GL coding and compliance with contractual rates. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining our inbound carrier freight invoice database, resolving billing issues, and effectively communicating with carriers and our internal retail group to address discrepancies and claims. This role requires diligent research, reconciliation, and follow-up to maintain accurate financial records and support our transportation accounting processes.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining our inbound carrier freight invoice database, resolving billing issues, and effectively communicating with carriers and our internal retail group to address discrepancies and claims. This role requires diligent research, reconciliation, and follow-up to maintain accurate financial records and support our transportation accounting processes.
- Process and review freight vendor invoices, assigning accurate GL codes and ensuring adherence to contractual rates.
- Submit and manage Accounts Payable upload templates for approval and maintain the inbound carrier freight invoice database.
- Resolve general ledger coding issues and review Accounts Payable on-hold and duplicate invoice reports, responding to inquiries as needed.
- Review and reconcile carrier statements and aging reports to identify and address discrepancies.
- Research and resolve vendor issues, including processing freight chargeback claims and managing new carrier setups.
- Strong knowledge of freight invoice processing and GL coding practices.
- Proficiency in database management and Accounts Payable procedures.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with carriers and internal teams.
