JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is part time role only at this time please note the hours below - 3 hours ANY One of the days below.
Mon - Wed - or Fri afternoon for 3 hours each week to start this will be the only hours needed, if more hours are needed or more budget is alloted then part time role could be extended.
We are seeking a part-time Laboratory Technician available to work 3 hours per week on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday afternoons, with the possibility of extending hours based on budget availability. This role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining laboratory instruments, monitoring experiments, recording results, and is centered around the primary task of filling liquid nitrogen. The ideal candidate must be able to lift 30-50 lbs regularly, adhere to written directions, maintain a laboratory notebook, and possess basic scientific knowledge and laboratory experience.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Set up, operate, and maintain laboratory instruments.
- Monitor experiments, make observations, and calculate and record results.
- Fill liquid nitrogen as the primary task.
- Follow written directions and maintain a laboratory notebook.
- Communicate effectively and manage computer-related tasks.
- Ability to lift 30-50 lbs regularly.
- Familiarity with basic scientific principles and laboratory experience.
- HS diploma or GED equivalent for US candidates.
