JOB SUMMARY:
The Expert Desktop Support Technician will be providing comprehensive technical support including desktop assistance, troubleshooting, and ensuring network security. The position entails setting up, maintaining, and resolving issues for both PC and Mac systems, as well as coordinating with vendors and managing software and network configurations. This role is essential for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and requires managing small projects successfully from start to finish.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Offer remote and on-site desktop support, ensuring all computers are safe, secure, and efficiently operating.
- Coordinate with vendors for problem resolution; setup and troubleshoot user accounts, domains, and software accounts.
- Communicate effectively with team members about call trends and challenges; ensure up-to-date documentation.
- Act as a Knowledge Domain Expert, maintaining process ownership and exhibiting deep system knowledge.
- Manage individual and team ticket queues to optimize team performance and customer satisfaction.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong familiarity with Mac OS X & Windows 7/10.
- Proficiency in collaboration tools like Slack and Google Sheets.
- Experience with ticketing systems, ServiceNow preferred.
Industry Experience:
- Previous experience in a Service Desk or Desktop Support role, with a track record of excellent customer service, is required.
- Familiarity with Exchange, AD, Software Distribution Systems, and experience in a corporate environment are beneficial.
This role is based on-site in Plano, TX, and requires applicants willing to work on-site 5 days a week.
