Location: Vernon Hills, IL 60061 (#LI-Onsite 5 Days a week)
Pay Range: $35 -$38 per hour
Shift: Mon–Fri 8-5, Saturday and Sunday work as needed

Job Summary:
This role requires an individual to be onsite 5 days a week in Vernon Hills, with flexibility around the typical 8-5 business hours including occasional weekend work and possible travel. The Data Center Technician will play a critical role in installing and maintaining IT infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of data center, MDF, and IDF equipment. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, organized problem solver with a strong analytical aptitude and a minimum of 3 years' experience in IT Data Center environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and maintain switches, servers, and related IT products.
  • Support and maintain UPS and Rack Power Systems reliably.
  • Execute the installation and maintenance of campus wiring efficiently.
  • Coordinate successfully with vendors to ensure system maintenance.
  • Ensure supported hardware and software are up to date with necessary patches.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Experienced in independently running and terminating both copper and fiber cables within Data Centers.
  • Proficient in Asset and Infrastructure Change Management processes.
  • Skilled in participating in Audit and Compliance activities, including asset tagging, labeling, and tracking.

Domain/Industry Experience Required:

  • Minimum 3 years of direct experience in IT Data Center positions, including practical experience with data center infrastructure management and compliance activities.
