Pay Range: $80 - $85 on W2

Job Summary:
My client is seeking an experienced CoE Lead to design and stand up a new Center of Excellence for Managed Service Provider (MSP) Excellence within its Global Technology Solutions organization. This is a builder-focused consulting engagement where the CoE, SIAM standards, governance processes, and playbooks are being established from the ground up.
The CoE Lead will define the CoE's purpose, scope, operating model, governance structure, SIAM standards, playbooks, enablement programs, and onboarding materials. The role will also conduct a maturity assessment, develop a roadmap, and ensure all documentation and knowledge are transferred cleanly to the permanent team at the end of the engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and establish the MSP Excellence CoE, including its purpose, scope, operating model, governance, ownership, and interfaces with Provider Governance, Finance, and Data teams.
  • Develop SIAM standards, process playbooks, operating procedures, templates, checklists, and reference materials that can be adopted by retained teams and MSP vendors.
  • Establish the standards council cadence and decision-making framework for approving SIAM standards, onboarding assets, and training curriculum.
  • Design and deliver training and enablement programs covering SIAM principles, vendor governance expectations, and evidence standards for SPOps and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct an initial MSP governance maturity assessment, identify capability gaps, and develop a practical maturity roadmap for the permanent organization.
  • Develop comprehensive onboarding materials for new providers and team members and facilitate knowledge transfer and clean handoff to the incoming permanent team.
Must-Have Skills:
  • 10+ years of experience in consulting or enterprise technology environments, with experience designing and operating CoEs, enablement functions, or capability development programs.
  • Proven experience developing governance standards, SIAM processes, playbooks, and operating procedures for multi-provider managed service environments.
  • Strong experience with MSP / vendor governance, service integration, operating models, and technology services environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently structure consulting engagements, manage stakeholders, and deliver defined scope and outcomes within timelines.
  • Strong facilitation, instructional design, training, documentation, and knowledge-transfer capabilities.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Experience conducting organizational maturity assessments and developing capability roadmaps.
  • ITIL, PMP, or equivalent certification.
  • Experience establishing standards councils, governance forums, and decision-making frameworks.
  • Experience working with large enterprise technology organizations and multiple managed service providers.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated ability to create practical, actionable standards and playbooks that teams can readily adopt.
  • Strong consulting mindset with the ability to operate independently with minimal organizational infrastructure.
  • Proven track record of building reusable assets and documentation that permanent teams can maintain without external support.
  • Experience delivering enablement programs to mixed-experience audiences across retained teams and external providers.
