Contract Type: W2
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Oakland, CA 
Pay Range: $70/hr - $75/hr

Job Summary: This role involves migrating and maintaining critical PostgreSQL databases across on-premises and AWS cloud environments. The ideal candidate will focus on database administration, performance optimization, security, and automated solutions. Successful candidates will collaborate with various teams to ensure highly available and secure database operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer, tune, and secure PostgreSQL databases in production.
  • Implement and manage high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Automate database tasks and infrastructure provisioning using AWS services.
  • Execute complex database migrations from on-premises to AWS.
  • Monitor database performance, capacity, and health proactively.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Extensive PostgreSQL administration expertise.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
  • Proficiency in database migration strategies and tools.

Experience with large-scale financial or regulated environments is highly preferred for this role.
