We are seeking a highly motivated, creative, and collaborative individual to join ongoing research in the discovery and development of therapeutic agents for immuno-oncology. The successful candidate will have a strong background in immunology and will be familiar with standard immuno-oncology assays and tumor models. The applicant should be able to participate in discovery and translational research efforts aimed at identifying and characterizing novel therapeutic targets. The successful applicant will work in an extremely collaborative and dynamic environment to help initiate and support projects from inception through clinical development as part of a multidisciplinary project team.
Essential Duties and Job Functions:
Plans and executes experiments that support research activities and project goals. Demonstrates and applies a high level of understanding of project goals and methods. With general guidance and direction selects appropriate methods and techniques in performing experiments. Recommends creative solutions to problems, researches new methods and techniques and may proactively seek out senior personnel to discuss potential solutions to problems.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
Typically requires a BS/BA degree in Immunology, Cell Biology or other related life science discipline and minimum 9+ years of relevant experience.
- The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in one or more of the following techniques: immune cell functional assays, multi-color FACS, primary cell isolation and culture, ELISA/Luminex, molecular biology techniques such as RNA/DNA isolation, qPCR, cloning and virus production.
- The candidate should be a creative and goal-oriented problem solver capable of working independently.
- The candidate must be able to process data and evaluate data quality, including recognizing anomalous and inconsistent results.
- The candidate should have mature organizational skills, strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
