Duration:  6+ Months with Possible Extension
Location: Portland, OR (#LI-Hybrid)
Pay Range: $48 - $53 per hour on W2


Job Summary:
Join our UX Research & Development team as an Android Engineer to develop impactful features for our Android app, ensuring feature parity across platforms and delivering high-quality, maintainable software. In this role, you will collaborate across functions with a focus on crafting intuitive, functional experiences, and contribute to all stages of the development life cycle including planning, coding, testing, and documentation. This is a hybrid position requiring occasional presence in our Portland office, with the understanding that flexibility is provided for cross-time zone collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain features for the Android application, ensuring parity with iOS and web platforms.
  • Work closely with the mobile architecture team for consistent user experiences.
  • Implement robust CI/CD practices, engage in thoughtful testing and detailed documentation.
  • Collaborate across functions with researchers, data analysts, product managers, and designers.
  • Provide technical insights during reviews and planning sessions, help in scoping and prioritizing projects.
Must-Have Skills:
  • Proficient in Android development and Kotlin.
  • Experienced with Jira, Git, and CI/CD practices.
  • Familiarity with integrating web services (HTTP/JSON/OpenAPI/TCP/IP) and database knowledge.
Industry Experience:
Previous experience in designing and building applications, preferably with a focus on user experience or research. Experience in e-commerce or a related industry is a plus.
