Job Summary:

We are seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer to join our Power Electronics & Test Validation team, focusing on electrical engineering for EV and renewable energy. The selected candidate will perform rigorous testing and validation of power electronics systems, engaging in R&D activities to drive advancements in power electronics topologies and control. This full-time role is based in Newark, CA, requiring 100% onsite presence with a possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive verification and validation tests for power electronics systems, aligning with industry standards.
  • Engage in hands-on testing and troubleshooting using lab equipment such as battery simulators, power supplies, E-loads, and scopes.
  • Perform root-cause analysis on power electronics systems issues, contributing to R&D initiatives.
  • Review and validate schematic, PCB designs, and simulations of power electronics converters.
  • Leverage strong technical writing skills to communicate complex concepts and findings clearly.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Profound knowledge of power electronics topologies and control mechanisms.
  • Proven expertise in hands-on testing and troubleshooting of power electronics systems.
  • Exceptional technical writing and communication abilities.

Industry Experience:

  • Experience in the automotive sector, particularly with electric vehicles (EV) and renewable energy, is highly preferred.
