Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer / Project Manager to oversee the coordination and completion of projects within Data Services, Inc. The ideal candidate will manage all facets of project execution, from design development through construction administration, and optimize project management platforms, ensuring goals are met through effective planning and team leadership. This role is crucial for increasing our workload capacity and contributing to the success of our project deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and complete project/program objectives on time, within budget, and scope.
• Manage project execution, including design development, construction administration, and optimization of project management platforms such as Smartsheet's and Procore.
• Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress, providing reports to upper management.
• Ensure a high degree of creativity and latitude in achieving project goals, leading cross-functional teams effectively.
• Utilize extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish ambitious project milestones.

Must Have Skills:

• Proficiency in project management software tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Procore).
• Demonstrated leadership experience with a focus on team management and coordination.
• Strong background in design development and construction administration processes.

Industry Experience Required:

• Extensive experience in project management within construction or similar industries, with a successful track record in overseeing large-scale projects.

• Develop and standardize Method of Procedures (MOPs), SOPs, and technical work instructions for critical infrastructure environments
• Create clear, accurate, and safety-focused technical documentation for electrical and mechanical systems
• Partner with engineering, operations, construction, and facilities teams to ensure procedures align with operational standards
• Support standardization initiatives to improve scalability and reduce operational variability
• Review electrical one-line diagrams, panel schedules, and infrastructure documentation
• Drive process improvements and documentation best practices across multiple projects/sites
• Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to align business needs with technical and safety requirements
• Maintain documentation quality, governance, and version control standards
• Support deployment and reuse of standardized procedures across multiple locations
• Contribute to operational readiness, risk mitigation, and infrastructure reliability initiatives

• Strong technical writing experience for MOPs, SOPs, work instructions, or operational procedures
• Experience in data center, critical infrastructure, or mission-critical facilities environments
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems including UPS, generators, switchgear, ATS, PDUs, and busway systems
• Ability to interpret electrical one-line diagrams and infrastructure documentation
• Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and construction teams
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Understanding of safety-critical operational environments and compliance standards
• Experience driving process standardization and operational improvements
• Ability to balance speed, quality, and technical accuracy in fast-paced environments
